Kathryn Finney sent me an autographed copy of her book, How to be a Budget Fashionista, to review - how lucky am I?! Very. If you don't know Ms. Finney then you're missing out. She not only authored this wallet-friendly fashion resource, but she's also behind one of my favorite blogs. Before reading the book I thought, what could this book possibly teach me? I mean really, shopping is one of my top comfort "foods" (right up there with mac n cheese). But I was pleasantly surprised. The book is a fun, quick read but it's also a handy reference. Pages I flagged: the international shoe size chart (European sizes get me every time), the section detailing how to bargain for everything ("While I'm getting in touch with my inner ice queen, I calculate the highest price I'm willing to pay for the item"), and how to get invited to Fashion Week (I'm totally inspired!). So before your next mega-shop, grab yourself a copy! You'll thank me.
