Sometimes I make purchases spontaneously, but often I research what I buy first. I'm big on reviews. Recently I stumbled across Greener Choices, which is Consumer Reports with an environmental slant. I've only begun to search the site but already I've seen info on chocolate (yum), flowers, cars, and computers. Cool concept! My only complaint is their site design is too cluttered and blah. They really need an Extreme Makeover - Web Edition.
