I know wallpaper is having a resurgence in popularity, but I haven't been able to get into it, until now. This awesome designer/vintage wallpaper-leaved tree idea for a nursery is Adorable. Especially with the birdhouse light. And it's available for purchase as a kit through Enfant Terrible. It's not cheap, not at all...but I know my baby would love it (okay I love it and I'll convince Jr to love it too). I seriously doubt I can convince Chris to pay over $300 for a wallpaper tree, but maybe we can take the idea and try to make it on our own. Could just use paint instead of wallpaper... hmm. Too cute! The giving tree

Some of you know, and some of you don't...but tomorrow we're going to be homeowners once again! Our new pad is a cute 3 bedroom/2 bath bungalow built in 1936. It's in a neighborhood just a little southeast of where we live now. It's a nicer neighborhood and still biking distance to Chris' job. We're taking the month of May to slowly move in, luckily our landlord said we could get out of our lease as long as he can find a renter starting in June. So if you're looking for a cute 2 bedroom house in Daffin Park, let me know (and look at pictures of our rental here on the blog, it's like the first or second post I did). In the meantime check out our new place. Pretty groovy huh?Artwork above: Home Sweet Home by rosiemusic available on Etsy.
Life in business, I mean balance

After a long week of business travel I'm back home. Yay! But it wasn't all work and no play, since my travels took me to a top rated spa resort, one of Oprah's favorites - Miraval. Since I was there for work I didn't get to take full advantage of all the resort amenities, but I did get a prenatal massage at their spa (heavenly) and hiked around a little bit checking out the views of the Catalina Mountains. It's so pretty there. I was really hoping to see some fun wildlife, but the only creatures I saw were birds (hummingbirds, quail, finches, cardinals and a lone woodpecker). Supposedly a family of bobcats lives on the premises and if you go into the mountains you might come across a mountain lion. Exciting animals are afoot in the sonoran desert! What I really wanted to encounter was a javalina - basically a wild boar. No such luck! But the scenery was awesome and the food was tasty and healthy. The food was so good that I found myself in the gift shop asking if they had a cook book. Apparently the spa doesn't have an official cookbook but after a quick google search I found what I was looking for. Consider it bought!
Of course, I forgot my camera on this trip. I need to be better about that. So out of desperation I bought a disposable camera. Who knew they still sell disposable cameras with real film. Crazy! So once I get my photos developed (assuming I took some decent pictures) I'll post them here. In the meantime the photo above was swiped from the wonderful wide webby world.
What's cooking?

Ok, this is a true to test to see who's reading my blog. I've told family and a small number of friends and my boss... but we've got quite a few friends and ol' coworkers that we haven't shared our news with yet. I've been debating the best way to tell people, without spending an entire weekend on the phone (thereby using up all my cell phone minutes). So I might as well make this announcement via my blog and see who's listening. So here goes:I'M PREGNANT!!!
Who's excited??? We totally are. I'm 14 weeks along (due Oct 2nd) and officially past my oh so tiring 1st trimester. Thank god! No more weird sensations of feeling like I'm starving and wanting to barf all at the same time. That's a very confusing and not so pleasant feeling. I still have major urges to eat everything in sight and I'm finding that some foods that used to sound good now sound disgusting - like Kraft Mac n Cheese. blllah! And coffee. Baby no likey. Baby does love Taco Bell. Somehow, when everything else sounds gross and stomach turning, Taco Bell sounds like heaven. That was the case two nights ago, when at 8pm I convinced Chris to run with me to the border. While waiting in line in the drive-thru I realized that if I continue to frequent the Bell I'm going to end up on the Britney Pregger Diet. Oh you remember, don't you? Hundreds of pictures of her smiling and preg in the drive-thru. Oh yeah. Ooops I did it again has new meaning. Oi Vay. That's all for now. I'm going to get back to work and dreaming of fresco chicken soft tacos and nacho cheese sauce. Darn that Bell!
